While Chad and his folks battled the floods I hopped a flight to Seattle to reconnect with friends and favorite haunts. Highlights included walks around Green Lake; reconnecting with the flavors of Chocolati, Taste of India, Louie’s, and World Wrapps; reveling in the lush green of Olympic National Park;
attending the Seattle LDS Seventh Ward; and taking time to contemplate, read, and write. But most of all it was lots and lots of talking and just being with people who’ve been a huge part of my life for the past ten years. Thanks to Chad for a most wonderful birthday present!

Sounds like a fun trip! We still miss Seattle 7th, even after 5 years!
